"Stacey Buck has made speech therapy fun for my seven-year-old daughter, Lena, who looks forward to her weekly sessions. Stacey always has something new and exciting in her bag of tricks. She is very competent and a sensitive and compassionate person who brings years of experience to her work. In just a few months, Lena’s speech has greatly improved, not only because of Stacey’s professional skills, but also due to her wonderful warm and kind nature."

"After being diagnosed with language processing issues (both verbal and written), our son worked with Stacey for a couple of years when he was 11 and 12 years old.  An impetus for having him tested/evaluated in the first place was his reticence to even speak to staff in the his elementary school’s office.  Fast forward more than a decade later and our son is now a confident young adult. He recently traveled across the country to attend a professional conference to network, attend panel discussions, and explore new career opportunities.  Prior to working with Stacey, we would never have imagined that he would actively seek out and want to do something like this.  Cheers to Stacey for giving him so many valuable skills and tools that have served him well academically, socially and professionally. My son came to work with Stacey around 5th grade and continued until 10th grade. He had multiple learning disabilities and language deficits. Stacey pushed him hard and he pushed back even harder. I begged Stacey to stick with him promising her there was a sweet child inside of the tough exterior. My son told me, “She likes torturing me more than she likes being tortured in her workout classes”!! This did make me laugh. Eventually he settled in and they had a wonderful working relationship.
Fast forward. He is now 24 and starting grad school. He recently shared with me that although some days felt like torture he looks back with such fondness of Stacey and the deep impact she has had on him. He’s very grateful that she stuck it out with him and he still uses many of the tools she taught him. Thank you Stacey.”

“I can not believe that we are done. It was very stressful when my husband and I made the decision that Max needed help and it was up to us to find the right person to help him. Not only find a person with the many professional qualifications that Dr. … specified but also someone that would be warm and caring. At the time it seemed that no one would fit our requirements. After talking with so many speech pathologists, I am very grateful that we found you. Working with you this year and a half was great. I especially want to thank you for your creativity to engage Max when he was tired after a long day at school. Max has gained so much confidence, reading is now one of his strengths and the most important thing is that he loves books. It is nice to be able to say goodbye although we are going to miss you.”

“Stacey worked with our teenage son shortly after he entered high school and through his successful graduation. We don’t know how he would have gotten through without her. She is a gifted teacher [therapist—you choose] who motivated him to address his underlying learning issues, not just focus on the immediate demands of school, showed him how to recognize when he needed help and encouraged him to seek it, and bolstered his confidence in his ability to succeed. On top of all that, she was his constant advocate with his teachers and with us, and one of his chief cheerleaders. He always knew she was in his corner.”

“Maximo yesterday went to bed crying that he did not want the classes with you to end. He said your classes are so much fun and he wanted 30 more classes. I thought you would like to know how much he likes you. You have made learning fun. I want to thank you for all your hard work with Max, we are both going to miss you. See you next Monday.”

“I worked with Stacey in my early teen years after being diagnosed with dyslexia and other learning disabilities. She helped me develop learning strategies to overcome my weaknesses. Now, I am attending a prestigious private college on a merit scholarship and have been on their Dean’s List every semester.”

“We can not thank you enough for all of the help, insight, and support you have given [our son]. You very much have had a positive impact on him. He has worked very hard and diligently incorporated your suggestions to his study habits and daily interactions. After years of skirting by and feeling like a failure, he now has such a sense of pride and increasing confidence in his ability both in his school work and personal interactions. It is wonderful to see. We are so proud of him and grateful for you!”
